SOCOM 3 - Modes
More specific mode information can be found by clicking "Modes" on the menu on the left under each map name.

(1) SUPPRESSION
The objective is to eliminate the other team by shooting all their team members within the time limit. If there is a draw, the team with the most players alive will win.

(2) BREACH
The objective is for the breaching team to get inside the enemy stronghold and plant a bomb at the target. The team inside the base must prevent the breaching team from planting the bomb. If there is a draw, the team that is defending the stronghold will win for preventing the breach.

(3) CONTROL
The objective is for each team to take control of 5 control points by planting a flare on each of them. Once a team has taken control of a control point they can not lose control of it. If there is a draw, the team with the most control points in their possession will win the road, otherwise there is no change to the score.


(4) CONVOY
The objective is for the convoy team to escort a convoy of vehicles to loading zones, to load them with cargo, and to extract them at the drop off zones. The other team needs to prevent the convoy team from doing this, or destroy the 2 convoy vehicles. If there is a draw, the defending team will win and the convoy team will lose.

(5) DEMOLITION
The objective is for each team to obtain control of the bomb in the center of the map, take it to the enemy base, and plant it at the target. If there is a draw, the score will not change.

(6) ESCORT
The objective is for the escorting team to escort 3 VIPs across the map to an extraction zone. The other teams objective is to kill the VIPs. If there is a draw, the escorting team will lose for failing to escort the VIPs.

(7) EXTRACTION
The objective is for the breaching team to get inside the enemy base, get control of the 3 hostages, and to extract them to the extraction zone. The other team must prevent the extraction. If there is a draw, the score will not change.

(8) SMALL
This is when levels are smaller because vehicles are disabled and is often done with a smaller player count. This objective no longer applies, and it is just like a suppression mode.
