SOCOM 3 Walkthrough Guide

SOCOM 3 OFFLINE: Why Even Bother?

(1) A lot has changed!
There are new weapons, new items, new hit detection, new aim speeds etc... so it's best to adjust to these offline before going online and getting your buttocks served to you by some concerningly already-skilled player / impatient importer.
(2) You can learn the maps!
The SOCOM 3 maps are huge, and it'll take a lot of game play to get used to them and learn them inside and out, which is why doing offline (as the online levels are similar to the offline levels, if not the same) will help you check them out, and give you that freedom to sometimes have a look around without worrying about 16 guys constantly trying kill you when all you want to do is look what's up that ladder!
(3) Unlockables!
Let's face it, the only reason you're even going to look at the offline mode is because you want that SAS guy to run around Blackwoods at night with! Although, arguebly the most useful unlockables aren't characters, nor weapons, but attachments. The medium scope and front grip are a welcome aid in the never-ending online warfare.
(4) An excuse for lack of skill!
By completing offline for a while, you have a defence the next time that 12 year old boy shouts "OWNED" over the lobby voice chat, "I've been doing offline is all, I can't aim yet". Proceed to claim that you'll get your own back in the next few weeks, then put him on your ignore list so you can avoid him in the future.
(5) Get your moneys worth!
It's not as bad as you may think, and with the new check points in place you can basically go through at any speed without having to worry about getting headshot a meter away from the finish line to be sent back to the starting line!
